HOW TO BECOME A TATTOO ARTIST IN BRAMPTON?

A tattoo artist's job goes beyond just drawing designs onto people's skin. They need to be able to work closely with their clients to bring their vision to life. On top of that, they must craft the design, stencil it onto the client's skin, choose colours and ink and prepare the equipment and the skin.

Not to mention that during the actual process, they must use the various techniques they've learned. There are several requirements for being a tattoo artist in Brampton, which include:

  • Artistic skills: Every tattoo artist must have a well-established foundation of art skills. This can include art school, but that isn't a requirement.

  • Educational requirements: The Province doesn't demand tattoo artists to have a specific educational background. Fields such as anatomy, fine arts, and microbiology can all be advantageous.

  • Certification in Bloodborne Pathogens and Infection Control: This is generally a requirement for all tattoo artists. It shows that the holder is educated about maintaining a clean environment and the risks of contamination and infection.

  • Apprenticeship: An apprenticeship with an experienced tattoo artist can help you balance your artistic skill with the technicalities of the trade.

  • Building portfolio and reputation: Once you're eligible to practice, you should work on building your reputation as a tattoo artist, whether working in a studio or opening your own. Lastly, it is important to keep up-to-date with all the latest trends in the industry by continuing your education.

TESTIMONIAL

Best Education Decision Ever

"I took a tattoo course at the Tattoo & Piercing School Of Canada. Best decision I've ever made with respect to education. With me were three other students who came from afar and rented a hotel room for the duration of the course. That's how desirable the course is. The course was intensive, comprehensive and informative. I got all the fundamentals one would usually have to scrounge off of YouTube, all delivered in a live session in a class, with questions answered on the spot. All the legal components and so on. I could not thank Mike and Grace enough for their professional service and hospitality. We actually got to tattoo real people under Mike's supervision and guidance. Plus, we got tattooed ourselves by each other. My classmates nailed it. I feel ready and confident to start my journey as a tattoo artist, build a portfolio and begin an apprenticeship."
